The Yorkshire Waterways Museum School Resources.
Resources have been developed for;
Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Outreach and Alternative Learning. The Key Stage 2 resources are extensive and are useful for pre planning a class visit and also for non visiting schools to access the collection without visiting the Yorkshire Waterways Musem. The Key Stage 2 resources can be ordered on a CD-ROM or can be accessed on the links below. These documents are available for download, can be printed and can also be used or adapted for work with other Key Stages. As some of these resources are large file sizes, a broadband connection is preferable. The resources have been categorised into subject areas to make navigation easier for teachers and lesson planning.

Outreach Resources
The Museum Officer is available for outreach sessions through the Renaissance Partnership Initiatives project, which is a network of Museums working together. These include Hull Museum Service, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Harrogate Museums Service. Please see our schools page for further details. Existing resources include reminiscence sessions, loan of a modular boat hoist demonstrating hydraulics, loan of Victorian/bargee style dressing up costumes and outreach Roses and Castles workshops. The outreach will be extended in 2007 to include museum displays, interactives and workshops in the Thorne Moorends Regeneration Partnership Community building in Thorne, the home of our Waterstart Project.
