    • The Waterways Museum is an ideal venue for group visits and offers a wide range of facilities and activities which are accessible and enjoyable to users. The Museum has two galleries with an extensive collection interpreting the Social history of the Port of Goole and traditional shipbuilding techniques with interactive displays. It enjoys a tranquil canal side setting and the Nature Trail runs alongside the Aire and Calder Navigation.

    The boats are wheelchair accessible and provide a perfect opportunity to enjoy a canal trip.

    We have Wheelchair and walking sticks for use in and around the museum, please ask for assistance.

    Each group can select their preferred activities from a pick and Mix menu and costs are available on application.

    Costs

    For casual visitors to the Museum galleries there is no cost and during weekdays there is no guiding assitance. Group Visits are charged an administrative rate to rotate around activities. These are based on charges below.

    Museum Tours £2.50 or £1.50 concession rate
    History Boat Tour £4.00 per person £3.00 under 12’s
    Activities vary in cost. Package rate for a combination of the above can be arranged.
